Bicycling. To the Kentucky Derby!
I'm a master planner. I love organizing and planning for fun, efficiency, safety and thrill. So when Cathey Sell, a college friend of my mothers sent me two Churchill Down shareholder passes for the 2014 season, I knew I'd be in attendance May 3, 2014.You may have noticed a lapse in daily blog posts recently. I'd love to admit I took time off throughout Derby Festival to enjoy each and every day's offerings in and about town. However, it has been a few weeks of out-of-balance work days. I moved from CT in 1993 and never went back, but as many of you can relate, the loyalty was established in my first 18 years of life. Being a Husky and living Read ▸ about Cheering for UCONN… in Kentucky

Walk the Talk
How can those of us in the school, community, public, business health field walk the talk? If we encourage schools to send consistent messages, I think we should model that as well. That does not mean we all have to complete an Iron Man, or bike across the country ;) or go on 5-day non-verbal meditation once a year (although, wouldn't that be great??). But, as ambassadors of health, it does mean we should all be working on our mental, emotional, physical and social health Read ▸ about Walk the Talk
