Cairn Guidance works with clients to facilitate engaging workshops, professional development and training events for participants.
Our role is to blaze a path to student success as guides for schools and community partners to implement the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) approach. We share a common goal with school, family and community stakeholders to ensure that each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged to achieve their full potential.
During these engaging team simulations, participants will be confronted with realistic decisions and experiences, be compelled to consider new ways of looking at their goals and their work, be challenged to review what they consider legitimate indicators of success, try proven methods for making system-wide changes, distill their experience into action-oriented learnings and have fun! The facilitation experience allows colleagues to participate in a simulated activity that builds team building and stronger communication.
Our team guides strategic planning sessions for teams, schools, districts, organizations, and agencies to define their vision and mission. Using a proven process, we start with a visioning activity to capture big ideas, followed by a SPOT analysis (Strengths, Problems, Opportunities, Threats) to create SMART objectives leading to a strategic action plan. Through a prioritization process, bold steps are identified based on agreed-upon criteria (feasibility, cost, alignment to vision, etc.). Cairn Guidance collaborates with clients to develop a clear strategic plan with SMART goals, timelines, required resources, and evidence of success.
Cairn Guidance works with clients to facilitate engaging workshops and training events for participants. By focusing on the needs of the audience, we customize facilitation opportunities that will encourage active participation while meeting the prioritized objectives within the allotted time. Some examples of our facilitation work include:
Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Tools
We facilitate clients how to use CDC’s School Health Index and Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool (HECAT) by providing engaging training events and multiple real-life examples.
Logic Model Development
As organizations and agencies prepare to develop a cadre of trainers, or implement a project or new initiative, we guide them through a process which helps them think through the inputs, activities, data sources, outputs, short, intermediate and long-term outcomes.
Our process includes developing a five-year vision, thinking through the strengths, opportunities, problems and threats and developing bold action steps through a kinesthetic, fun, engaging training!
Many state departments of education, organizations and school districts want to build their capacity with training and technical assistance. Or, they need content expertise to write a curriculum, develop standards or create a program. We have facilitated cadre development processes for many clients.
Jessica Lawrence and her team facilitated and conducted St. Claire Healthcare’s inaugural Leadership Development Institute. This two-day event was packed with incredibly effective leadership development content. In addition, Jessica’s inspiring message and application of team building exercises was a hit for our entire leadership team. You can rest assured Jessica will be invited to participate at our future conferences.Donald H Lloyd, President & CEO at St. Claire HealthCare
The webinar was open to a very broad audience and Jess did a great job creating an interactive presentation that all could learn from.Anonymous and OEA Choice Trust
Our expectations were exceeded. Our teachers reported that the sessions with Cairn Guidance have been informative and impactful on their practice. We got more accomplished in 2 days than we could have accomplished on our own in a year.Anonymous
