Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference

I am really excited to be a part of Oregon’s second annual School Employee Wellness Conference March 24-26th in Bend Oregon. It is sponsored by ODS, OEA Choice Trust, OEA, Oregon Department of
Education, COSA, Oregon Public Health, ASCD, OEBB and Oregon School
Boards Association.

The conference goal is to engage school employees in
creating healthier school environments that supports the physical,
social, and emotional health and well-being of staff and students.

I will be presenting two workshops. One is entitled, Coordinated School Health Programs… what does that really mean?  and the second workshop I’ll be presenting is in partnership with Kay Zimmerli from Kaiser Permanente entitled, Creating a Sustainable School-based Culture of Health.

I will also be facilitating the closing session for the conference. We also have some national people attending and presenting such as Nora Howley from NEA.  I would love to see my colleagues from all over the country attend!
